Keith has spent three decades in the oil and gas industry and has been sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with students for several years. His experience spans many of the technical disciplines, including drilling, completion, production engineering, and facilities in both conventional and unconventional resources. During his years in the industry he has prepared many reserves evaluations for large and small companies and has been involved in a number of corporate evaluations.
This half-day course presents the fundamental technical and business concepts of the oil and gas industry. The course material is enhanced by discussions of current challenges facing the industry.
Participants will gain a basic understanding of the drilling, completion and production of oil and gas wells and the current issues regarding these activities. The course also includes an introduction to the Canadian oil and gas regulatory environment, commodity pricing and the future of oil and gas in Western Canada, North America and the world.
