Chasing the Right Opportunities: Balancing expectations of value between buyers and sellers
Buyers and sellers have always had to adjust their expectations of the perceived value of assets. This was particularly acute during the downturn and resulted in a near shut down of deal-making. But since mid-2017, there appears to be a shift towards equilibrium between buyers and sellers expectations. This stage of equilibrium has spurred increased acquisition and divestiture activity for key resource plays across Western Canada.
To capture momentum, players need to rapidly identify which opportunities match production or profitability objectives. Sproule will use performance, economic and by-product analysis, available exclusively in the play evaluation platform Catalyst to compare opportunities. This session will focus on areas in the East Duvernay, Alberta Viking, and the Dunvegan.
